I am Donna McMahan, PT, DPT, NCS, cert. LSVT BIG and graduated from Armstrong State University (now Georgia Southern) in 2014 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Following graduation, I completed a Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville FL. I have extensive experience in treating a variety of neurological diagnoses including, but not limited to Cerebral Vascular Accidents (Stroke), Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injuries, and Brain Injuries. I also have significant experience with vestibular disorders and balance disorders, such as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (“crystals are out of place in the ear”) and peripheral neuropathy.
I am actively involved in the community and have given educational talks to local support groups for those individuals living with movement and neurological disorders. I also work closely with the community’s adaptive gym programs, “Get Excited and Move” and “Abilities Unlimited.” I am also on the board of the Savannah Striders Running Group and the Savannah Jaycees
I am originally from Warner Robins, Georgia, but I have made Savannah my home alongside my husband, Clinton, and our two dogs. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, kayaking, hiking, traveling, yoga, and participating in group runs with the Savannah Striders.
